Masonry and block work walls are porous mediums and rely completely on the condition of the exterior coating system for weather tightness.   Where the masonry wall is raw, cracked or poorly coated, water can penetrate to the interior. These problems can be resolved through the application of a quality high build acrylic coating system to the exterior block walls.  This work has the benefit of providing enhanced performance of the exterior walls through a high quality coating system, incorporating treatment of cracks and penetrations, as well as the aesthetic value of a new coat of paint.

We developed, in conjunction with Rohm & Haas world industry leaders in polymer technology, a coating system called ‘RUBBAFLEX’ Elastic Mastic that is capable of improving the level of protection to masonry walls.  ‘Rubbaflex’ is made to colour sample as required and will provide the aesthetic finish of traditional paint while providing extra protection to the wall areas coated.  The system is more than simply a coat of paint and is applied with attention to existing cracks and penetrations. 

 A further positive for the building owner with respect to the Rubbaflex coating is its high film build (thickness) which results in a much more durable coating and longer life on the wall then traditional acrylic paints.   We have used Rubbaflex with outstanding results in these application for over twenty years in the Auckland area.
